Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 24/5000/120-50 230V VE.Bus Inverter Charger – PMP242505010
Product Description
The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 24/5000/120-50 230V VE.Bus is a high-capacity inverter charger designed for demanding 24V battery power systems. Combining a pure sine wave inverter, a powerful 120A battery charger and a 50A automatic AC transfer switch, it provides an integrated solution for off-grid energy systems, marine installations, backup power and other applications requiring reliable AC electricity.
With a 5,000VA inverter rating and up to 4,000W continuous output at 25°C, the MultiPlus-II converts energy stored in a 24V battery bank into 230V AC power for compatible appliances and electrical equipment. When a suitable mains or generator supply is available, the integrated charger can recharge the battery bank.
Victron Energy's PowerControl and PowerAssist technologies help manage limited AC input capacity. PowerControl limits the current drawn from the external supply, while PowerAssist can supplement the available supply with battery power when demand increases. This can help prevent a generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.
The MultiPlus-II also features a second AC output for loads that should only operate when external AC power is available. Its fast automatic transfer function switches the main output to inverter power when the external supply fails, helping maintain power to connected equipment.
With VE.Bus communication and support for compatible parallel and three-phase configurations, the MultiPlus-II is a versatile choice for professionally designed battery-based power systems.

-
Off-grid solar and battery installations
-
Marine and boat electrical systems
-
Larger motorhomes and specialist vehicles
-
Remote buildings and cabins
-
Battery-based backup power systems
-
Energy storage installations
-
Systems combining battery storage with mains or generator power

Installation and Compatibility
This inverter charger is designed for 24V DC battery systems with 230V AC output. Before installation, confirm compatibility with the battery chemistry, battery management system, charging profile and connected loads.
The 5,000VA inverter and 120A battery charger can place substantial demands on the battery bank. Battery cables, DC fuses, isolators and protective devices must be sized according to Victron's installation instructions and the battery manufacturer's requirements.
The 50A AC transfer switch rating should be considered when designing the incoming AC supply and connected circuits. The secondary AC output has different operating behaviour from the main output and should be configured for the intended loads.
VE.Bus communication allows integration with compatible Victron monitoring and control equipment. Parallel or three-phase installations require compatible units, suitable wiring and correct configuration.
Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional experienced in high-current battery systems and inverter-charger installations.
